Building a next generation foundry for quantum processor manufacturing – We are looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our team.
Do you want to be a part of pioneering quantum computing in a world-class quantum ecosystem in the heart of Copenhagen? Quantum Foundry Copenhagen is a newly founded company, owned by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF), aimed at developing next generation Quantum Computing Processor technologies.
Our mission is to establish a foundry capable of manufacturing quantum processor units using novel methods that meet the extreme requirements for purity and precision that are needed to bring Quantum Computing to scale.
Our company is part of a vibrant and growing Danish quantum ecosystem, and we collaborate closely with world-leading researchers in the Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP) based at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen. The NQCP programme is designed to facilitate and drive research and innovations at multiple levels – from developing quantum processor technologies to solutions for the quantum-classical control and readout interface, and all the way to quantum algorithms and applications.
In close collaboration with NQCP and international partners, we aim to pioneer chip-based fabrication and packaging methods for state-of-the-art quantum processors.
We are looking for an electronics engineer to join our innovative team of talented and diverse international professionals. You will be involved in designing new advanced research equipment and perform service and repair on existing instruments, often in cross disciplinary collaboration between mechanics, optics and electronics.
A broad knowledge of electronics design and instrumentation is therefore needed to provide a good foundation for building specialized equipment in diverse areas. Good collaboration skills and the ability to delegate tasks are essential to support your colleges in a joint team effort.
Joining our team offers opportunities for professional growth and collaboration with leading experts in different quantum computing platforms.
Your main responsibilities and tasks will include:
Your qualifications include:
You have several years of experience and want to work at the cutting edge of technology. Your portfolio of experience may include working in different research-oriented settings.
You can see new solutions to problems and are motivated to work with your colleagues on the journey towards making Quantum Foundry Copenhagen one of the leading quantum foundries in the world.
You are driven and self-motivated with a focus on pace and outcomes when you work to develop the best solutions with input from highly skilled colleagues in interdisciplinary fields. Your colleagues would describe you as analytical, structured, and curious. As a team player, your constructive and collaborative workstyle inspires others.
For this position, we do not require previous experience working in quantum. If you are new to quantum, we will train you.
We strive to be a world leading foundry and offer competitive salaries along with the many benefits of living in Copenhagen – one of the most liveable cities in the world. Benefits also include generous vacation time, health insurance, a pension scheme, and a chance to contribute to a dynamic and innovative team.
