We are on a journey to build the next-generation foundry for quantum processor manufacturing and are looking for a Quantum Photonics Engineer to join our growing team.
Do you want to be a part of pioneering quantum computing in a world-class quantum ecosystem in the heart of Copenhagen? Quantum Foundry Copenhagen is a company, owned by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF), aimed at developing next generation Quantum Computing Processor technologies.
Our mission is to establish a foundry capable of manufacturing quantum processor units (QPUs) employing novel methods to meet the extreme requirements for purity and precision needed to bring Quantum Computing to scale.
Our company is part of a vibrant and growing Danish quantum ecosystem, and we collaborate closely with world-leading researchers at Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP ) based at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen. The NQCP programme is designed to facilitate and drive research and innovations at multiple levels – from developing materials and quantum processor technologies through solutions for the quantum-classical control and readout interface, and all the way to quantum algorithms and applications.
In close collaboration with NQCP and international partners, we aim to pioneer chip-based fabrication and packaging methods for state-of-the-art quantum processors.
As our new Quantum Photonics Engineer, you will support our photonics characterization efforts and contribute to the development and validation of photonic devices and systems.
You will work hands-on with optical setups and advanced characterization tools, executing measurement protocols and extracting performance metrics from devices and experimental systems. The role involves close collaboration with our materials growth, photonics platform, and nanofabrication teams, as well as with international partners from industry and academia.
Your primary responsibilities and tasks may include:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented team member with a strong experimental background in optics or photonics.
You are structured in your approach to work, communicate clearly with colleagues, and enjoy contributing to collaborative, interdisciplinary projects. You are eager to learn and develop your skills in a fast-paced research and engineering environment.
Your qualifications and experience may include:
Joining our team offers opportunities for professional growth and collaboration with leading experts in the field of quantum computing. We strive to be a world leading foundry and offer competitive salaries along with the many benefits of living in Copenhagen – one of the most liveable cities in the world.
Benefits also include generous vacation time, health insurance, a pension scheme, and a chance to contribute to a dynamic and innovative team.
