Quantum Processor Unit Experts

Join us in building the next generation foundry for quantum processor manufacturing – We are seeking several Quantum Processor Unit Experts to be part of our growing team.

Do you want to be a part of pioneering quantum computing in a world-class quantum ecosystem in the heart of Copenhagen?  Quantum Foundry Copenhagen is a newly founded company, owned by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF), aimed at developing next generation Quantum Computing Processor technologies.

Our mission is to establish a foundry capable of manufacturing quantum processor units (QPUs) employing novel methods to meet the extreme requirements for purity and precision needed to bring Quantum Computing to scale.

About us

Our company is part of a vibrant and growing Danish quantum ecosystem, and we collaborate closely with world-leading researchers at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP) based at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen.

The NQCP programme is designed to facilitate and drive research and innovations at multiple levels – from developing materials and quantum processor technologies through solutions for the quantum-classical control and readout interface, and all the way to quantum algorithms and applications.

In close collaboration with NQCP and international partners, we aim to pioneer chip-based fabrication and packaging methods for state-of-the-art quantum processors.

JOIN OUR TEAM

We are looking for several quantum computing experts to join our efforts in developing next generation quantum processors based on in-house chip manufacturing methods. Together with a dedicated interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers your work will be centered around creating scalable error corrected quantum processors in close collaboration with NQCP engineering teams, pilot lines and external partners.

Depending on experience your responsibilities will be tailored to match your qualifications and ambitions. Your main responsibilities and tasks may include:

  • Designing quantum computing architectures, including chip components and multi-qubit systems, to advanced full QPU architectures for utility-scale quantum computing.

  • Performing finite element simulations of the qubit plane, as well as control and readout circuitry and packaging.

  • Responsibility for conducting single and multi-qubit device characterizations and developing measurement and analysis protocols.

  • Contributing to device fabrication and process development.
Professional and Personal Qualifications

We imagine that you have a PhD in a relevant field and deep experience with one, or more, of the following quantum device modalities:

  • Semiconducting spin qubits
  • Superconducting qubit
  • Photonic qubits

Project management and interdisciplinary collaborations come naturally to you, and you have the mindset and skills necessary to working in a data-driven manner.

You envision new solutions to problems and thrive in a collaborative and highly innovative environment with ambitious development timelines.

Your work experience may be from a combination of academia and industry. At this point in your career, you have a strong motivation to contribute to the practical advance of the quantum computing industry.

We offer

Joining our team offers opportunities for professional growth and collaboration with leading experts in the field of quantum computing. We strive to be a world leading foundry and offer competitive salaries along with the many benefits of living in Copenhagen – one of the most liveable cities in the world.

Benefits also include generous vacation time, health insurance, a pension scheme, and a chance to contribute to a dynamic and innovative team.
